An odd one, but hey—this is California. Summerland’s creator, Liam Kaczmar, asked me to develop a brand identity for his high-end ceramic smokeware. The copy was made into a little ‘zine that went out with the first 500 orders. It was also reused for gift guides and the like by Buzzfeed, The New York Times, Cool Hunting, Uncrate, and many more. Summerland quickly took off and the pieces can be seen in Broad City, Justin Timberlake’s newest music video, and, of course, the fanciest of fancy smoke shops all around the world.
